Turkish EU Minister: Our Fundamental Aim is Visa Exemption by EU to All Turkish Nationals |
11 August 2012Turkish EU Ministry and the Turkish business world have stated that the decision of the Consulate General of the Netherlands about asking occupational declaration instead of applying visa for Turkish businessmen is a big step forward to demolishing the wall of unfair visa system.
After Dutch Consul General in Istanbul Onno Kervers' formal announcement about the Dutch officials' decision to only ask for an occupational declaration instead of visa from Turkish businessmen, there was support coming from the Turkish government and Turkish business world.
Speaking to AA about Netherlands' being the first on this system, Turkish Minister of EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis said, "After seeing the potential in Turkey, EU member countries will not be staying passive. We always mention that step by step Turkey will getting enriched and all the closed doors will start opening. We are happy to see the results of our hard work. Our fundamental aim is visa exemption to all Turkish nationals as soon as possible." |
