28 May 2012Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag said on Sunday that Muslims should not be indifferent to what has happened in its neighbors.
The opening of the 21st International Congress of Muslim Communities took place in Istanbul.
Bozdag delivered a speech at the meeting, saying that the Islamic world have been facing several important issues such as famine, poverty and terrorism.
Islam was the religion of peace, he said.
Women's and children's rights, equality, law and solidarity were the basic rules in Islam, he said.
