The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry expressed concern over the protest actions in front of the Azerbaijani consulate in Tabriz. Baku expressed confidence that certain forces having unfriendly relations with Azerbaijan support these rallies.
These forces pursue the goals harming Azerbaijani-Iranian relations, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Elman Abdullayev told media today.
"The decisions made by the Azerbaijani leadership, serve the interests of the Azerbaijani people," he said. "Azerbaijan establishes its relations with neighboring countries on the basis of the principles of good neighborliness, and remains committed to the principle of non-interference in the affairs of other countries. No one has the right to interfere in Azerbaijan's affairs."
Several protest actions have been recently held in front of the Azerbaijani Consulate General in Tabriz.
