Ruling Party: Azerbaijan’s Presidency in UN Security Council is Important |

Azerbaijan's presidency in the UN Security Council said that our country has taken the international mission, deputy chairman, executive secretary of ruling party "New Azerbaijan" Party Ali Ahmadov told media today.
"Azerbaijan's foreign policy is to maintain peace and security, despite the aggression against our country and the fact that Azerbaijan became its victim," he said. "But Azerbaijan has been fighting for peace and our country fulfills the honorable mission during its presidency in the UN Security Council. I think that the steps taken by Azerbaijan to fulfill this mission will be supported by all countries. Azerbaijan stated that it will fight for justice."
Azerbaijan has been waiting for this day for a long time, Vice-Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Bahar Muradova told media.
"We have repeatedly stated in various international organizations that there was aggression against our country," she said. "We added that the leadership of our neighboring country - Armenia, turned the terror into the official state policy, but our voice was not heard. "So, I appreciate the meeting held in the UN Security Council yesterday under the chairmanship of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. I think that saying that our country's priority task during its presidency in the Security Council is to strengthen fairness and security in the world, the Azerbaijani President showed Azerbaijan's position and the attitude to these issues. I think that there is no country which does not have its position on these issues." |
