Turkey, China Express Commitment to Boost Economic Ties

ISTANBUL (A.A) - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping reiterated commitment to boost economic ties between the two countries.

In a behind-closed-doors meeting in Istanbul, Erdogan and Xi expressed willingness to improve cooperation, sources close to the meeting said, adding Chinese vide president told Erdogan that China was interested in projects in Turkey.

Sources also said Xi had invited Erdogan to China on a formal visit as the Turkish premier had said he planned to pay the visit in the coming months.
