In Pakistan, a number of rocket-propelled grenades have struck the country’s top military academy in the northern town of Abbottabad.

The attack on January 27 is reported to have damaged a section of the academy’s outer wall. Officials have reported no injuries from the incident.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.

The Kakul academy is located close to the compound where U.S. Special Forces carried out the raid that resulted in the killing of Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in May 2011.

The Kakul academy is considered the Pakistani equivalent of the elite West Point army university in the United States.
