The Eropean States adopted embargo and sactions on Ýranian oil on Monday. At the same time, they have agreed to freze the assets of Ýranian Central bank and other state institutions. The two measures are aimed at deterring Tehran’s nuclear program. The Europen States won’t be able to make a new agreement on Ýranian crude oil, petroluem products with the embargo. But the states signed an agreement with Iran before the embargo will be able to export oil from Iran till july.

After the crucial decisions were taken, Iran said that the EU’s embargo on its oil is to fall flat and repeated its treat to block the Strait of Hormuz.
The U.S. President Barack Obama has stated its pleasure with EU’s sanction. Foreign Ministry of Iran spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said , “It seems the American authorities want to disrupt the energy sources of their rivals and weaken their economies under the pretext of pilling up political pressure on Iran.”

Meanwhile, the I-nternational Atomic Energy Agency(IASA) has clarified that they will send a team in January, 29-31. The IAEA reported that Iran had carried out tests "relevant to the development of a nuclear explosive device" last November.

Iran explains that its nuclear programme is for energy, peaceful purposes and does not aim to produce nuclear weapons.
