New Bulgarian President's 1st Meeting - with EU Commissioners

The first official meeting of Bulgaria's new President Rosen Plevneliev will be held on January 22, the date of his inauguration, it has been revealed.

Plevneliev will meet with EU Commissioner for International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response, Bulgarian Kristalina Georgieva, as well as Regional Policy Commissioner Johannes Hahn. The two Commissioners are expected to arrive on an official visit to Sofia.

Plevneliev, Georgieva and Hahn will discuss the Europe 2020 strategy and the EU Funds in the programming period 2014-2020, according to dnevnik.bg.

On January 25 and January 26, the new Bulgarian President will be in Brussels for talks with EU leaders.
