ANKARA (A.A) - Turkish dailies mostly covered in their Friday issues the gathering to commemorate Armenian-Turkish journalist Hrant Dink, the lawsuit against Izmir's Metropolitan Mayor, and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's remarks about his health.

All newspapers wrote the gathering at Taksim district of Istanbul on the fifth year of assassination of Armenian-Turkish journalist Hrant Dink. Tens of thousands of people gathered in Taksim and marched to Agos newspaper's building where Dink had been working and shot to death. People left carnations and candles on the pavement. People also protested the verdict of the court about the murder case of Dink. Judge Rustem Eryilmaz acquitted the suspects as there was not enough evidence indicating formation of a criminal organization.

Most of the newspapers wrote the case against western Izmir city's Metropolitan Municipality. Court accepted the indictment. Izmir Metropolitan Mayor Aziz Kocaoglu is accused of seven crimes including bid rigging, embezzlement, bribery, and being a leader of a criminal organization. He is asked 397 years in prison.

Almost all newspapers wrote the remarks of Prime Minister Erdogan about his health condition. In his interview with journalist Mehmet Ali Birand, Erdogan said he had neither cancer nor chemotherapy treatment. Erdogan noted that doctors asked him to rest for two more months, adding that he would begin a busy schedule in March.
