Thursday, 19 January 2012Georgian Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alexander Khetaguri has today met with representatives of Russian academic circles, human rights activists and media representatives.
Khetaguri briefed guests on reforms carried out in the energy sphere. He also informed about the co-operation that exists between the Georgian and Russian power engineering specialists.
Khetaguri explained how Georgia could turn from an electricity importer into an exporter. He informed guests about the plans in Georgia's energy sector development for the next three years.
The meeting took place within the project "Professional dialogue between Russian and Georgian youth", which is implemented under the leadership of famous Russian journalist Oleg Panfilov.
The project aims at strengthening of bilateral relations, assistance in increasing confidence between the peoples of Russia and Georgia. |
