Most Kazakh Citizens in Baku Vote for Ruling Party

Most Kazakh citizens in Baku, who participated in the elections to the Majilis (lower chamber of parliament), voted for the ruling party "Nur Otan", Adviser of the Kazakh Embassy in Azerbaijan Dastan Suleymenov told Trend on Monday.

The elections in Baku were attended by 78 percent of voters registered in the polling station, Suleymenov said.

The elections to Majilis and maslikhats were held yesterday in Kazakhstan. According to the country's Constitution, voting was also organized in foreign countries.

The Nur Otan national-democratic party, Adilet, Kazakhstan Patriots' Party, Nationwide social-democratic party, Ak Zhol, Communist People's Party of Kazakhstan and the Kazakh Social Democratic Party Auyl took part in the elections.
