Today Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs Yerzhan Kazykhanov has met with Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States Halil Akinci, who arrived in Kazakhstan to observe the elections to the Majilis.

As the Secretary General noted, the Council's delegation plans to visit South Kazakhstan region during the elections, and not only Shymkent, but also such cities as Kentau, Turkestan and other densely populated areas.

"Today I have no doubts that the elections in Kazakhstan will be transparent. A lot of international observers and representatives of mass media will monitor the elections. All this gives hope that the elections will be democratic and fair," H.Akinci said.

He outlined that the final results will be summed up after holding the elections.
