Bulgaria's capital Sofia plans to use solar energy to charge electric vehicles, it was revealed on Friday.

The project for the construction of special charging stations fueled by photovoltaic panels is expected to be launched in February, according to the Standart daily.

The project is to be carried out by a consortium that has received a written approval from Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova.
