A bilateral agreement on the international transport of passengers and cargo by road was signed on Friday by Bulgarian Transport Minister Ivaylo Moskovski and his Turkish counterpart Binali Yildirim.

The agreement is based on the recommendation framework set by the European Conference of Ministers of Transport (ECMT) and aims at enhancing the road freight transport and road passenger transport between the two countries, as well as transit transport.

The agreement will replace the one signed by the two countries in Ankara on April 16 1977, the BGNES news agency has reminded.
