Minister: Tymoshenko's husband seeks Czech asylum

The husband of Ukraine's jailed opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko has asked for asylum in the Czech Republic, Czech Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg said on Friday, confirming earlier reports.

"During a break in the government meeting (on Wednesday) I asked the interior minister whether this was true ... and he said yes," Schwarzenberg told Czech Radio.
