ANKARA (A.A) - Turkish dailies mostly covered in their Wednesday's edition Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's speech at his party's parliamentary group meeting, indictment on September 12 coup d'etat and inflation figures.

Almost all the papers published stories on Erdogan's speech at his party's parliamentary group meeting. Hurriyet and Sabah dailies wrote that Erdogan harshly criticized the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP), Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) and Taraf newspaper for their statements regarding last Wednesday's airstrike killing 35 people on Iraqi border. Hurriyet quoted Erdogan as saying that those who classified even the death as death of Kurds or death of Turks were following the path of the devil.

Milliyet daily said that public prosecutor was seeking life imprisonment for the 7th President Kenan Evren, the leader of September 12 coup d'etat, and Gen. Tahsin Sahinkaya in an indictment in a case investigating the coup.

All newspapers wrote about the inflation figures announced on Tuesday. Cumhuriyet said inflation in consumer and producer prices ended the year with double-digit figures. The daily said consumer prices were up 10.45 percent and producer prices rose 13.33 percent in 2011.

Zaman daily said that former Chief of General Staff Gen. Ilker Basbug will testify at Istanbul court house on Thursday as suspect in anti-government website probe.

Turkiye wrote that Ismail Haniya, the prime minister of Palestinian administration in Gaza, attended on Tuesday Justice and Development Party (AK Party) gathering after meeting with representatives of Turkey's major political parties.
