Tuesday, 3 January 2012Zhanaozen residents note that the situation in the city has stabilized. The appearance of the city restored, shops work, mobile shops are acting, said in a statement on the official site of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
"As a resident I am very happy that grocery mobile shops began to come more often. On the eve of the new year the villagers were offered food at reduced prices and, as a result, we did not have to go far to Zhanaozen. The situation is much stabilized in Zhanaozen and in the surrounding villages. This is borne out even invitations for weddings, celebrations and anniversaries, but, of course, in the daytime, "- says the chairman of the Council of Elders of the village Kyzylsay Zhaksylyk Konlimkosov.
According to him, the old rhythm of the passenger transport, transport of the product, which delivers food to remote locations restored.
A resident of the 4th district of Zhanaozen Rahat Isanbergenov also notes that the the movement of passenger transport was restored in the city.
"In the early days it was difficult to get to work and return in the evening. It is now much better. Small buses started to work, and eventually large buses will do too. This is a promise of members of the government commission, which is now engaged in the modernization and recovery of Zhanaozen. Of course, this pleases us, "- says Rahat Isanbergenov.
A resident of the city said that now the appearance of Zhanaozen restored. "Shops and shopping centers work. In general, life is getting better," - he said.
"Of course we are sympathetic to the established curfew and a state of emergency in the city. Our family is grateful to the city department of education, that congratulated our children and gave them gifts," - said the Daulbaevs family living in the Rahat-2 district of Zhanaozen.
Unrest occurred in Zhanaozen city of Mangistau region on Dec. 16 during which 15 people were killed and roughly 100 were wounded. Buildings and cars were burned, property of individuals and legal entities were destructed. Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev declared a state of emergency from Dec. 17 to Jan. 5. |
