ANKARA (A.A) - Government Spokesman and Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc said regarding last Wednesday's incident along Turkey-Iraq border that killed 35 people that there was no intention in it.

After the meeting of Council of Ministers, Arinc told reporters that an inquiry into the incident was under way. "Whether there is a negligence or fault is being investigated," he said.

Arinc said that the government would take some steps for relatives of those who were killed in the bombing, such as paying compensation to them.

Arinc added the group proceeded on their way although warning flares were launched, he said.

35 citizens were killed in a bombing by the jets of Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) in Sinat-Haftanin region in the north of Iraq which is near Uludere town of Turkey's southeastern province of Sirnak.
