The residents of Andarak village of Leilek district of Kyrgyzstan gathered in the center of the village on December 30, demanding the organizers of Thursday's brawl among ethnic Tajik and Kyrgyz people to be found, CA-News reported.

There were several hundred people from both sides. Additional representatives of law enforcement bodies were brought to the village to monitor the order to avoid a new conflict.

Negotiations with representatives of both sides are continuing, said the local authorities.

The Governor of Batken oblast, Akim of the District, Deputy Interior Minister Kursan Asanov and other officials hold explanatory works at the scene.
