Political parties in Armenia should make public the sources of funding, Yeghishe Kirakosyan, assistant to Armenian Prime Minister, told journalists on Wednesday.

He stressed that the Group of States against corruption (GRECO) suggested that Armenia should pay special attention to the issue of financing of political parties in the context of reduction of corruption risks, News.am reported.

Although the Election Code obliges political parties to disclose sources of funding, some provisions of the law are unclear, he said. A package of legislative amendments has been introduced to be debated in the Parliament.
