Residual Volume of Deposit Investments in Tajikistan Increase

The residual volume of deposit investments in Tajikistan's banks amounted to $870 million as of early December, 2011 increasing by 28 percent compared to similar period of 2011, Tajikistan's National Bank reported on Wednesday.

Thus, 47.1 percent of the amount is the deposits of legal entities, while 52.9 percent is the deposits of physical persons.

In Tajikistan the weighted average interest rate of deposits in January-November, 2011 accounted for 15.66 percent in national currency and 14.76 percent in foreign currency.

According to Tajikistan's National Bank, the attraction of deposits of legal entities and individuals aimed to develop real production is one of the major directions of Tajikistan's banking.
