Wednesday, 28 December 2011Pursuant to Kazakhstan Presidential Decree and on behalf of Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Serik Primbetov awarded a number of Azerbaijani political figures commemorative medals "20th Anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence" for their significant contribution to the development and strengthening of statehood and sovereignty of Kazakhstan.
Among the awardees are Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev, Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov and Chairman of Writers' Union Anar Rzayev.
In his speech, the Kazakh diplomat praised the contribution of Azerbaijani political figures in the development and strengthening of bilateral relations, including the expansion of ties between the peoples of the two countries and informed the Azerbaijani side on the achievements of our country in various fields.
The prospects of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan were discussed during the meetings.
