Earthquake Hits Southeastern Russia

An earthquake of 6.6 magnitude has hit southeastern Russia near the border with Mongolia.

The U.S. Geological Survey reports that the epicenter of the quake was about 94 kilometers east of Kyzyl, the main city of the sparsely populated Tuva region.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
