Tuesday, 20 December 2011Much work on the approximation of Azerbaijani and European legislation is being implemented in the framework of a twinning-project to support the Milli Majlis in Azerbaijan, official Safa Mirzayev said at the final conference of the project in Tuesday.
"As part of this work Constitutional Law On normative legal acts,has already entered into force, the Code of Construction and Urban Development will be tabled at the plenary session of Parliament on December 23, the work on the Code of the competition is continuing," Mirzoyev said.
The twinning project, which was launched in September 2009, considered the most progressive among the 280 twinning-projects on democratic development, Mirzoyev noted.
Mirzoyev said that, in the frame of the project work to educate the Azerbaijan public about the European Union is implemented. In this connection successfully functioning website.was established
As part of the project, work has been done to strengthen the legal framework of the Azerbaijani legislation, manager of twinning-project, head of the Office of the Seimas of Lithuania Gediminas Aleksonis said at an event.
"Another success is the fact that MEPs became closer to Azerbaijan," Aleksonis said. |
