Situation Stabilizes in Kazakh City of Zhanaozen

The situation in Kazakh city of Zhanaozen, where mass riots took place yesterday, was stabilized, the city resident told Trend.

He said currently there is no one on the central square of the city.

According to preliminary data, victims of the riots in Kazakh oil town Zhanaozen were 10 people, there are also injured peoples, Kazakh Prosecutor General Askhat Daulbayev said on Friday.

"According to preliminary data, death toll as a result of the riots hits 10. There are injured peoples, including police officers," Daulbayev said at a press conference in Astana.
