JSC "KazMunaiGas Exploration Production" (KMG EP) reports that situation on the Uzen field is stable. Daily production is preserved at the level of previous days. Security is ensured at all production facilities of Ozenmunaigas production branch.

The company is experiencing some difficulties with delivery of morning shift workers to facilities, which is primarily due to bus drivers' concern for their safety. Delivery of necessary technical personnel to the field is organized by alternative transportation. It should be noted that on weekends and day offs, the number of operating personnel working on the field is much less compared to weekdays. Thus, taken measures allow maintaining normal production regime.

According to preliminary data, victims of the riots in Kazakh oil town Zhanaozen that took place on Dec.16 were 10 people, there are also injured peoples, Kazakh Prosecutor General Askhat Daulbayev said on Friday.

"According to preliminary data, death toll as a result of the riots hits 10. There are injured peoples, including police officers," Daulbayev said at a press conference in Astana.

During the riots the administrative building of the UMG was set on fire and looted, much of the office equipment and documentation was destroyed. A temporary headquarters, located in a different building, has been set up to provide operational guidance for the site.
