Successive reforms in Kazakhstan have a positive impact on the high dynamics of Russian-Kazakh strategic partnership, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev noted in his letter addressed to Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence.

"Over the past years Kazakhstan achieved impressive results in economic development and welfare of its citizens. Stability and social harmony, responsible foreign policy course have become a reliable basis for increasing the international prestige of the country," Medvedev emphasized.

He stressed Kazakhstan's active work on promotion of integration processes. "Effective functioning of the Customs Union, formation of the Single Economic Space and steps towards the establishment of Eurasian Economic Union create qualitatively new conditions for comprehensive development of mutually beneficial partnership," the Russian President's letter reads.
