Friday, 16 December 2011Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is sure the target of US Senator Jon McCain's threat was Russia and not Putin personally . Vladimir Putin made this statement while answering citizens' questions in a live TV call-in show.
Putin once again said the West's actions against Libyan leader Muamar Gaddafi were unacceptable and all issues should have been solved through democratic means.
During the show, Putin was asked to make a comment on Jon McCain's statement which said Putin should have been bothered by Gaddafi's death. ‘This statement was made with regard to Russia, and not with regard to me. They want Russia not to be able to hamper them in their domination in the world', Putin said. ‘The whole world saw how Gaddafi was killed. Is this a democracy?', he added.
He also noted the West was still afraid of Russia's nuclear potential. |
