LOS ANGELES - Gunshots were fired at the building housing the Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles on Thursday and police said they were seeking a suspect.

No one was injured in the shooting, said Los Angeles police spokeswoman Norma Eisenman.

"It was a shooting at the building," she said.

Police said they are looking for a suspect described as an Asian man about 65 years old with white hair.

A representative from the Chinese consulate could not immediately be reached for comment.
