Azerbaijani Bank Increases Capital by 1.7 Times

The State Securities Committee (SSC) of Azerbaijan registered an issue prospectus of simple without documentary nominal shares of Xalq Bank in the amount of 57.597 million manat, Baku Stock Exchange said on Tuesday.

Within the issue 1.4883 million shares registered with a par value of 38.7 manat each. ADB Broker is an underwriter of an issue.

The bank has raised capital by 13.8 percent, from 72.828 million manat to 82.895 million manat by increasing the par value of shares of the bank in October.

The capital of Xalq Bank will increase to 140.492 million manat as a result of placement of new shares.

Xalq Bank began operating in December 2004.
Official exchange rate in Dec 14 is 0.7864 AZN/USD
