Georgian President Inspects Ongoing Round-the-Clock Construction in Batumi

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili inspected ongoing round-the-clock construction in Batumi this night. At 4 am he visited the construction site of several facilities, where work continues within 24 hours.

"We are in a hurry, since we should not lag behind, as we missed much in previous years. But our speed will not reflect the quality," Saakashvili said visiting the construction site of "Kempinski" Hotel, which will be commissioned in 2013.

The President positively assessed the hotel model.

Later Saakashvili and Adjara's governor Levan Varshalomidze got acquainted with the construction of the Technological University, construction of which is funded by the U.S.
The president visited site of reconstruction of the former First Batumi Hospital, where, Adjaran Government will be located after completing the construction work.

"We decided to transfer governmental agencies to Batumi to completely vacate sea coast for tourism purposes. The government will be located in this original building," Saakashvili said.

Saakashvili also visited the construction of two residential luxury buildings with 25 and 32 floors, which are constructed by "Orbi" company. Georgian building materials are used on this construction site. The country's well-known persons, as well as foreigner have already bought apartments in these buildings.
