Monday, 5 December 2011The head of a Russian pollster, the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM), said on Monday the exit poll his organization conducted during Sunday's parliamentary election in Russia cost it some $1 million.
“About a million dollars. It’s expensive,” Valery Fyodorov told journalists.
Fyodorov said he did not know whether they will be able to cover the entire country up to the last moment, but eventually, he said, they succeeded.
With 89.06 percent of the election protocols from polling places counted, the ruling United Russia party garnered 49.99 percent, going down after clearing the psychologically important 50-percent mark several times, and their closest rival, the Communist Party (KPRF), 19.12 percent. |
