Residents Killed in Sydney Nursing Home Fire |

Friday, 18 November 2011SYDNEY - A fire in a Sydney nursing home has killed a number of elderly residents, emergency officials said on Friday.
Up to 60 firefighters had attended the early morning blaze in the city's west. Television pictures showed smoke-stained residents being treated outside the property and before being ferried away in a fleet of ambulances.
New South Wales Police said "fewer than 10" people had been killed in what they described as the worst fire in the state in decades. |
