Wednesday, 2 November 2011Georgia must return the Russian market, which is very important, billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili said in his first public press conference today.
"The Russian market is very important to us," he said "The whole world works with the market."
The billionaire said he is waiting for Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's democratic reforms.
"Once we win the parliamentary elections in Georgia, we will immediately establish ties with Russia," Ivanishvili said. "At the same time, we intend to intensify relations with the U.S. and the EU."
He reiterated that he decided to go into politics because he felt he was losing his homeland.
"It was a hard decision for me and my family because I did not want to do this," he said. |
