An exclusive networking event 'Businessmed 2011 (the MEDiterranean Business Councils Exhibition) has been co-organized by the Italian, Spanish, Hellenic, Turkish and the Lebaneise business councils at the Godolphin Ballroom of the Emirates Towers Hotel of Dubai last Sunday 25th September 2011.

Businessmed 2011 brought together 250 participants from the five business councils in Dubai and from their respective embassies, prominent Emiratis and other Business Councils businessmen.

62 exhibitors were given the possibility to showcase their own business activities divided into sectors of economy. Mr. Hassan Al Hashemi, Director of External Relations Department attended the event on behalf of Dubai Chamber.

Ottavia Molinari, President of the Italian Business Council said: "Businessmed 2011 is a successful pilot event that groups business councils of different nations that have in common the fact of being touch by the Mediterranean Sea. Some of the most ancient civilizations and commerce flourished around the Mediterranean Sea and even today it represents a strategic point of passage for international trade."

The IBCD organizes monthly seminars, business networking events, conferences, luncheons, gala dinners directly or in conjunction with key operative economic bodies particularly with the Dubai Chamber and others 65 Business Councils and Business Groups.

The IBCD is composed of members that operate and have a licence in U.A.E. and operates thanks to the membership fees of its registered members. The IBCD promote the Italian companies and enterprenous that have business active operations within the UAE.
