Georgian side will raise three fundamental questions on the Geneva talks - Georgian MFA

Today, at the 17th round of Geneva talks Georgian side once again to deliver three basic issues. According to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia David Jalagania, they are: start of the international security mechanism in the occupied territories, non-use of force by Russia, dignified and safe return of refugees.

Georgian delegation was traditionally headed by Security Council Secretary Giga Bokeria.

The Russian side also requires agreement on the non-use of force between Tbilisi-Sokhumi and Tbilisi-Tskhinvali. However, Georgia is ready to conclude such an agreement only with Russia.

The next round of Geneva talks on peace and security in the Caucasus will be held on October 4.

They will be attended by delegations from Georgia, Russia, the United States, the so-called South Ossetia, Abkhazia, as well as UN, OSCE and EU.

The main issues in the negotiations will be providing security in Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

Humanitarian issues, the fate of missing persons, socio-economic rehabilitation and humanitarian assistance to the local population will be also discussed at the talks .
