Tbilisi TV Tower Sold for 110,000 Lari

The Tbilisi TV tower has been sold for 110,000 lari ($ 1 = 1.66 lari). The information about this was posted on the website of the Georgian Ministry of Finance.

One investor participated in an e-auction for the right to control the "Alfakom" company (TV tower) for a period of four years. The investor has initially paid 10,000 lari. He called 120,000 lari as the purchase price of the tower.

The bill receivable is 6,988,202 lari, the bill payable - 2.917.158.59 lari.

The information about the investor will be posted by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development on its website later.

Opposition forces and several private TV companies opposed transferring the TV tower to private people.
