Turkısh Mılıtary Says Cancels Two Maneuvers In Aegean
Turkish Military Staff on Tuesday said it had cancelled two of its scheduled naval maneuvers in the Aegean Sea. Posting a brief statement on its website, the military said it scrapped Seawolf 2011 and Ephesus 2011 naval exercises. No reason was cited for the surprise cancellation.

According to Wikileaks documents, the Patriarch said Heybeliada issue should be taken up separately from the problems of the country. He said, "I am Turkish and the Patriarchate is not the representative of Greek government."

500,000 Apply To Mavı Marmara
500,000 people from several countries applied to take part in the second flotilla that will set sail for Gaza in June. Huseyin Oruc, member of the executive board of the Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH), said that they received 15,000 applications the first day for. 1,500 people, most of whom were foreign nationals, would be on board the flotilla ships, Oruc said.

Denktas Has Partıal Stroke
The first president of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Rauf Denktas (87) was taken to Near East University Hospital on Tuesday evening.
Denktas was hospitalized due to complaints associated with high blood pressure. Doctors said that Denktas had partial stroke due to brain emboli. Later doctors
also said that Denktas was in better condition.

Students Askıng For Free Educatıon Are In Prıson For 14 Months
Berna Yilmaz and Ferhat Tuzel, who opened placards saying "we want free education and we will take it" while Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was
speaking at a meeting, asked to be discharged from prison. Request of Yilmaz and Tuzel was again rejected.
Prosecutor Kasim Ilimoglu said the students should be acquitted.
The prosecutor said act of the students was within the limits of freedom of expressing views which is a constitutional right.
Referring to international agreements, the prosecutor said, "meetings without arms and demonstrations can be made without getting pre-permission."
The case was adjourned 4.5 months.
Rauf Denktas In Prıson
Rauf Denktas, Founder and the first President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), had Cerebral Hemorrhage because of high blood pressure
and was hospitalized in Lefkosa.
Doctors said, "his general condition is rather stable."
Denktas had a by-pass operation in 2003 in the United States.

Greek government has moved to sell off public enterprises including ports and highways as it struggles to find its way through a crippling economic crisis.
Turkish business conglomerate Limak Holding expressed willingness to enter in the tenders for the sale of the ports. "We are working hard on the conditions of the
