15 Feared Dead After Vietnam Party Boat Sinks

Police in southern Vietnam said Saturday that 15 people, including five children, are missing and feared dead after a tour boat sank during a child’s birthday party on Friday.

The boat sank in strong winds and heavy rain during party for a three-year-old boy, who is among the missing. Officials said there were 26 people on board when the tour boat sank in Binh Duong province, near Ho Chi Minh City, the former Saigon.

Hundreds of troops have been deployed to search for the victims.
