Astana. November 21. КазTAG. President of Moldova Vladimir Voronin will pay official visit to Astana on November 25-26, foreign ministry of Kazakhstan informs.
"This visit is a continuation of mutual agreement on enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation, achieved during official visit of president of the Republic of Kazkahstan Nursultah Nazarbayev to the Republic of Moldova in Spetember 2003, during which topical issues of international relations as well as a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues were discussed," press service states.
Basic topics of negotiations of the heads of two states at the Astana meeting are as follows: issues of the further development of Kazakh-Moldavian political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian ties. Sides will discuss topical regional and international issues, cooperation in within the framework of international organization, first of all, UN, OSCE, CIS.
According to the statistics of committee for Custom control of Finance Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, external turnover between Kazkahstan and Moldova for 2007 made up USD139,3 million. (export - USD95 million, import - USD44,3 million), increased by 2,7 times compared to the same period in 2006.
For the period of January-September 2008 bilateral trade turnover made up USD230 million (export - USD208,1 million, import - USD21,9 million).
Since 2001 up to the first half of 2008 gross inflow of the direct investments from Moldova to Kazakhstan made upUSD37,5 million.
In trade-economic relations between Kazakhstan and Moldova the most interest is occupied by oil products supplies to Moldova, natural and liquefied gas, as well as import fro Moldova food industry products, namely, wine and wine products, plant oil, press service informs.
Moldavian companies work in oil and gas sector of Kazakhstan since 1997.
In 1998-1999contracts were signed with Moldavian companies for natural resources usage inMangistau oblast. Joint enterprises Askom Interpoil Ltd, Kazpolmunay CJSC, which explore and extract at the fields Tolkyn and Borankol were established. Tolkynneftegas OJSC, shareholder of which is Moldavian industrial-financial group Askom, has already completed work on introduction of gas condensate field Tolkyn into experimental-industrial exploitation and is ready to provide necessary volume of gas in Mangistau oblast.
