Turkey EU: Turks Believe Turkey Has Fulfilled All Necessary Criteria

According to the Survey France, Austria, Greece, Netherlands, Greek Cyyprus and Armenia are the main opponents to Turkey's membership to the EU

ISRO EU Survey Reached Significant Results

According to the ISRO EU Survey comprising 1000 respondents, 72 % of the Turkish public believes that Turkey will be EU member in short or long time.

Turkish people consider Germany, Italy, United Kingdom (UK), Greece and Spain as most significant supporters of Turkey’s EU bid.

It is very significant that 33.5 % of the respondents say France is the most important obstacle for Turkish EU entry.

According to the ISRO EU Perception Survey Turkish people perceive the EU insincere and unfair in its Turkey policies. 55 % of the respondents say the EU is unjust and insincere.

32 % gives full support to the Turkish Government’s EU policies while 46 % gives partial support. 14 % of Turkish public does not support the Erdogan Government’s European Union policies.

Overwhelming Majority of Turks Believe Turkey Has Fulfilled All the Criteria for the EU. 78 % of the Turkish public thinks partially or fully Turkey did anything demanded by the EU to start the negotiations. Only 10 % does not think that Turkey performed well enough to start accession negotiations with the EU.
