USAK cordially invites you to the conference series “The Asia-Pacific in the 21st Century and Diplomacy”, each round of which is addressed by ambassadors of Asia-Pacific countries to Turkey. The third round of the event will take place on Thursday, November 29, 2012, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m., with the participation of Ms. Marilyn J. Alarilla, the Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to Turkey.
As unique features of this second round, the speaker and the subsequent discussions will converge on headlines such as Filipino relations with great powers like China and the U.S., the Philippines in ASEAN, the South China Sea dispute, and the recent framework agreement with the MILF regarding the Bangsamoro. Filipino-Turkish relations will be under scrutiny as well.
The third conference is designed for relevant individuals from various institutions including students, academicians, policymakers, state officials, NGO representatives, opinion leaders and media members. The conference will be held in the workshop hall of USAK House.
Please note that given the limited number of seats, we kindly ask that you inform us regarding your participation by the morning of the conference day.
The conference will be held in English and translation services will not be available.
