Macedonia bids farewell to star boy Tose Proeski Skopje, October 17 (MIA) - Tose Proeski - the idol, the icon, the ambassador of Macedonia, the nightingale with an angelic voice, the humanist was buried with full honors at the town cemetery in his native Krusevo on Wednesday afternoon. The tears of those who came to bid farewell to Tose, and the helpless weeping of his family and closest friends did not soften the reality. Tose is back in his Krusevo - forever. The honorary army guard handed over the flag from Tose's coffin to his father Nikola. Three salvos were shot in honor of Tose. Pontiff of the Macedonian Orthodox Church (MPC) HH Stefan, said that Krusevo and Macedonia have not felt such sorrow since 1903. "We have lost the best, most talented boy, whose voice promoted Macedonia. He thrilled us with his vocal and song, along with his love for God and mankind. He understood happiness, but did not forget pain. His last concert was his farewell to Macedonia. Continue to sing in heaven, and let angelic choirs accompany you", said HH Stefan. Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said, "Tose taught us the values of humanity, hard work and sincerity. He left much too young in the legends, leaving an invaluable legacy behind. He is a role model to be followed and respected. Tose has left his song to cheer us up when hard times knock on the door". "He has a star within, a pure heart, soul and will, which showed that Macedonia can be equal to all others. He left as he lived - dreaming of a better world, believing in a better tomorrow and believing in people", underlined PM Gruevski. "He was touched by God. I always waited for you and you always came. Hope has died in the biggest star that shall ever be borne in Macedonia. He was not an artist, he was a masterpiece", said his close friend Vesna Petrusevska on behalf of Macedonian artists. "We cannot believe he is gone.
